"Filmmaker of the Year" awarded to J.C. Doler of Aisle7

Aisle7 editor J.C. "Colby" Doler was honored this Saturday with the "Filmmaker of the Year" award from the Robinson Film Center.


The Robinson Film Center is a not-for-profit arts organization whose goal is to "educate, enrich and entertain through the power of film"


Also among the awards were "Feature Film of the Year" awarded to '#ChadGetsTheAxe' and "Documentary Film of the Year" awarded to 'You Have No Idea' and "Short Film of the Year" awarded to 'Credit'. JC served as editor, VFX artist and animator for '#ChadGetsTheAxe' as well as additional editor on 'You Have No Idea' and editor and VFX artist on 'Credit'.



The Robinson Film Center's annual fundraiser, The Robbys, is a red-carpet event that puts a spotlight on not just the theater but the local filmmakers as well. For the first time in its history, The Robbys had an awards ceremony.


The winners of the first film awards are:

  • Short Documentary of the Year - Shreveport Recycling, Curbed

  • Short Film of the Year - Credit

  • Documentary of the Year - You Have No Idea

  • Film of the Year - #ChadGetsTheAxe

  • Visionary Award - Jeremy Enis

  • Young Filmmaker of the Year - Finnegan Collins

  • Filmmaker of the Year- Colby Doler
